Muchas novedades en la 660 Lot of news in the 660

Sorpresa!! cambio de color….

Si, por mucho que intentara auto convencerme que el gris era bonito (que lo es), me gustan las motos blancas y tarde o temprano iba a acabar así. Como además tenía la rayada del primer crash test que le hice, hay tan poco que pintar, y la semana que viene pondré los adhesivos de UNI, he aprovechado esta semana que estaba en Ausió para pintarla de blanco.
Así ya quedará tal como me gusta.

Pero bueno, eso no es lo más importante. En Ausió han estado trabajando de lo lindo, de hecho me inquieta el poco tiempo que tendré para probar las cosas antes de irme a Marruecos:

– Acabado el tren delantero. Al final han montado un disco de 320 y pinza Braking que aún no he podido probar pero tienen un aspecto imponente.
– Caballete central de Yamaha. Si, ya se que es un armatoste pero no quiero tener un pinchazo y pasarlas canutas para encontrar un sitio donde colgarla y desmontar la rueda. Es fácil de sacar y si me molesta cuando esté por aquí lo quito y listo.
– Soportes de las maletas de origen que me servirán para que las Giant Loop no toquen en el escape y para colgar botellas y herramientas. El de la izquierda va en el mismo sitio que el escape y por tanto han tenido que hacer un soporte nuevo para el Akra, de esta forma la brida de carbono no queda tan arriba. Además por seguridad pondremos otra brida más abajo.
– Reforzado el soporte para el GPS y puesto dos bolas Ram para poder llevar dos GPS o un GPS y otros aparatos electrónicos.
– Ampliado la base de la pata de cabra y eliminado la extensión de Touratech que es un armatoste.
– Manijas para mover el manillar. Son las mismas que ya he llevado en la GSA y en la Super Tenere 1200, un gran invento que permite mover fácilmente el manillar en función de si se hace carretera o off road.
– Soporte para el mando a distancia del GPS y puños calefactables
– Luces largas sin apagar las cortas

Como siempre el trabajo de los mecanicos de Ausió es super profesional, unos acabados impecables. Me da la impresión de ir en una moto de fábrica.
Si os soy sincero, en algún momento pensé que quizás me había equivocado, la Super Tenere había quedado tan bien que parecía difícil de superar pero creo que no será así, esta está quedando muy, muy bien, estoy encantado!!

Surprise! New look.

I tried to convince myself that the gray was nice (and it is) but I like white bikes and sooner or later I will paint it. It has a scratch from the first “crash test” I did, there is very little to paint and next week I’m going to fix the stickers from UNI, so as the bike was in Ausió (Yamaha dealer) I take the tank and fairing to paint.

But this is not the most important. There is a lot of work they did in Ausió, trying to finish all before I leave to Morocco:

– Finishing the front fork. They have mounted a 320 rotor and a Braking caliper that look terrific .
– Yamaha center stand . Yes, I know it’s a heap but I don’t want to have a puncture in middle of nowhere without it. And if it bothers me when I come back I can take it off.
– Yamaha luggage holders. They are perfect to protect the Giant Loop bags from the exhaust heat and hang bottles and tools. The left is fixed on the same place as the exhaust so we made a new bracket for the Akra .
– Reinforced support for GPS and two Ram balls to carry two GPS or a GPS and other electronics.
– Expanded the side stand base and removed the Touratech extension, too big and heavy.
– Handles to move the handlebar. They are the same as I have in the GSA and the Super Tenere 1200, a great invention that allows to easily move the handlebars depending on if I go on or off road.
– Support for remote GPS and heated grips.
– High beam without turning off low beam.

As always the work of the mechanics in Ausió is super professional, impeccable finishes . I get the impression ofriding on a “factory bike” .

If I ‘m honest, at some point I thought I cold be wrong changing the 1200 for the 660. The Super Tenere had been so good that it seemed hard to beat it, but I think it will, this bike is getting better and better , I’m delighted !
