CASTAÑAZO!! CRASH!!

Alguna de las subidas eran complicadas

Ayer hice una salida endurera con mis amigos Transibéricos. Ya os colgaré el resto de vídeos pero fue genial, caminos preciosos y un día espléndido con calçotada incluida.

Todos iban con motos de enduro menos yo. Empeñado en irle cogiendo el punto a la 660 me arriesgué a ir con esos descerebrados para ir probando nuestro límite (el mío y el de la moto). Sabía que la salida sería dura pero también que yendo con ellos no habría problema para que me ayudaran si me quedaba encallado en algún sitio, en el fondo son buena gente, jejeje.

Nos metimos por senderos complicados y en general no tuve demasiados problemas en pasar, eso si, aplicándome al máximo para que no me dejaran atrás. En las subidas la tracción de esta moto ayuda muchísimo y el amortiguador TFX trasero trabaja de maravilla pero en las trialeras de bajada el peso de la moto se hace notar y hay que ir con cuidado.

Todo iba bien y me lo estaba pasando teta hasta que en una curva (minuto 0,52 del vídeo) toqué con el pedal de freno en un margen. No fue nada pero más adelante bajé la vista para ver si se había doblado y ese segundo de distracción fue suficiente para salirme de la trazada y pasar por encima de un pequeño margen que me lanzó hacia el otro lado. En este momento iba bastante rápido y al tocar el margen perdí el control de la moto saliendo disparado por delante.

Increíblemente a la moto no le ha pasado casi nada, es dura como una roca. Con el golpe los tornillos de plástico de la pantalla se rompieron y gracias a eso la pantalla salió indemne.

Por suerte no suelo caerme demasiado, normalmente son caídas a baja velocidad en zonas complicadas que pueden suponer algún pequeño golpe o rayada en la moto pero en esta he tenido mucha suerte ya que he pasado volando al lado de un árbol. Podría haber sido un golpe serio y de momento lo único que noto es los dos pulgares doloridos y una muñeca hinchada… espero que no sea nada y pueda ir a Marruecos en plena forma.

A ver si tengo tiempo de editar el resto de vídeos, algunos tramos eran muy bonitos pero es una pena que en los vídeos no se aprecien los desniveles. Habían algunas subidas y bajadas importantes. De todas formas cada vez estoy más convencido de la elección de esta moto, es un compromiso ideal entre moto con capacidad viajera pero también que me permita meterme por sitios complicados. También se me tumbó en una trialera, en la típica posición puñetera en que las ruedas quedan más altas que el resto de la moto y aún así la pude levantar yo solo, eso con la 1200 habría sido imposible. Todo ello me va dando seguridad para poder emprender mis aventuras en solitario.

Por cierto, le he puesto un piñón de ataque con un diente menos (14) y va de maravilla. Por campo puedo usar marchas más largas y en zonas complicadas no tengo que tirar tanto de embrague mientras que por carretera pierde poca velocidad. Os lo recomiendo.

Yesterday I ride with my colleagues “Transibéricos” in an enduro mornig. You will see the rest of videos, it was great. Beautiful little tracks and a splendid day with a big meal included.

All of them were with enduro bikes except me with the 660. I knew that could be a hard day trying o follow this fellows with its lights bikes but I would like to test our limit (mine and the bike). All ways safer with someone to help me If I was in trouble.

We went in difficult tracks for my bike but in general I did it without big troubles but with all my senses in it to follow these crazy guys. The good traction of this bike and the great TFX rear suspension helped me on the climbs but in the tracks down I felt the weight of the bike and I need to be very careful.

Everything was fine and I was having fun until in a curve ( 0.52 minute video ) I hit with the brake pedal in the side of the track. It was nothing but later I looked down to see if he was damaged and that second of distraction was enough to get out of the line and go over a small margin that sent me to the other side . At this time I was fairly quick and when I hit the margin it lost control of the bike and was shot out ahead. Amazingly the bike wasn’t damaged, it’s hard as a rock. The screen plastic screws broke and thanks to this the screen didn’t broke.

Luckily I don’t fall often, normally are little falls at low speed in difficult tracks that may pose a small hit or a scratch in the bike but this time I was quick. I have been lucky as I have flown next to a tree. It could have been a serious blow and now all I notice is the two sore thumbs and a swollen wrist … I hope it’s nothing and I can go to Morocco in Christmas!!

Let’s see if I have time to edit the other videos, some sections were very nice but it is a pity that the slopes are difficult to appreciate in the videos. They had some major ups and downs. Anyway I am increasingly convinced to choose this bike as an ideal compromise between traveling ability but also it allows me to get through complicated tracks. I also lay on a track in the typical position where wheels are higher than the rest of the bike but I could still lift it without help. With the 1200 would have been impossible. All this is giving me confidence to take my solo adventures.

By the way , I ‘ve put a sprocket with one less tooth ( 14) and it work great . On the dirt tracks I can use higher gears and in the complicated paths I don’t need to use the clutch so often. But in paved roads It doesn’t lose too much speed. I recommend it.
