Mi amigo Harold de Giant Loop me ha dado esta sorpresa.
Aquí estamos mi moto y yo en su catálogo de empresa y tomando un te en Marruecos junto a grandes viajeros.
Gracias Harold!!
My friend Harold sent me this nice souvenir
Here we are, my bike and me in his catalog and having a tea with other great adventurers.
Thanks Harold!
«Riders who inspire» that fits really perfect to you. You infected me with dirtdriving!
Hahaha!!
Try it, you won’t regret… dirtdriving gives you freedom 🙂
Yes I will try it! My first dirt experience was about 15 years ago and endet very quickly with a big crash on a KTM LC4. The KTM was flying,…I was flying. KTM landed and survived…I had some small insuries. 🙂
After that I stopped completely riding bikes. Now I want to try it again…I hope I will be a little bit smarter than before.
The XT1200Z (which I drive now) I think is too heavy for getting experience in the real dirt.
I’m looking for a used, light, reliable dirt bike now. Except the DRZ400 do you have something in your mind what could fit? Unfortunately in Austria there are not much used DRZ400 on the market.
The WR250R was my other idea, but this has maybe really a little bit too less horsepower. I’m tall and heavy. 1,93m and about 100kg. In any case I do not want a KTM again. At least not at the moment.
Hope you can give me some advice. I already ordered a Hornet DS Helmet and SIDI Adventure Boots. I read that you liked it…so I tried and it really feels good. You see I’m serious! 🙂
Yes the Super Ten is very heavy if you aren’t experienced in dirt but you can try if the tracks aren’t difficult, you can be surprised how well it works.
You are lucky, you are very tall and this it helps a lot in a dirt bike. I think the DRZ is the best bike as a second bike for you. I didn’t try a WR250R but my feeling is that it will be unpowered for a big guy like you. Perhaps an old trail bike as a XT or Honda Dominador could be a good start, they are heavy but cheap to buy and maintain if you «fly».
If budget is not a problem probably the best buy for you is a KTM 690.
Hope you like the Hornet and Sidi, I am really happy with them.
Cheers!!
Thanks a lot for the feedback! I’ll keep my eyes open for a DRZ400. What do you think about a Honda XR600 or XR650? I never had the Dominator on my list. It looks a bit ugly. 😀
KTM 690….I think with a new one I could live but then its too expensive for me…and an old one I not trust anymore. 🙂
I didn’t try this Honda but everybody talk very well about them, could be a good election. The only problem is that they don’t have electric start and somtimes they are difficult to start.
The Dominator is ugly and old but it is an reliable bike.
KTM, a very good and funny bike… but it is a KTM… 🙂
Good luck!
